GROUND SPEED RADAR FOR VEHICLE EQUIPPED WITH RADIO WAVE INTERFERENCE AVOIDING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To avoid the malfunctioning of the subject radar due to radio wave interference by detecting the existence of interfering radio wave employing a high-pass filter having cut off frequency higher than the Doppler frequency corresponding to the maximum ground speed of vehicles. CONSTITUTION:The microwave projected from the antenna 11 of the ground speed radar 10 is reflected on the road surface 12 and received by the antenna 11. The Doppler signal S1 is inputted into the antiskid controller 30 through the amplifier 16, the waveform shaping circuit 17 and the frequency-voltage converter 18. The Doppler signal S1 is also inputted into the radio wave interference avoiding device 20 which is provided with the high-pass filter 21 having the higher cut off frequency than the Doppler frequency corresponding to the maximum ground speed of the vehicle. As soon as the radar 10 is exposed to any radio wave interference, the output of the filter 21 causes the antiskid controller 30 to stop the skidding control.
