PURPOSE:To provide possibility of installing a parking mechanism in a scant space by connecting two parking levers to each other with a brake cable and a cable guide tube bent in the U form, in which said brake cable is led. CONSTITUTION:When a hook 62 is pulled in the direction of A by a parking lever, not shown in the attached figure, to allow a cable 53 to move with respect to a cable guide tube 52 and, thereby, to let a lever 30L rotate around a pin 31L clockwise, a strut 41 moves to the right, and those parts of linings 23R, 23L which are situated nearer a wheel cylinder 15 are pressed against a brake drum 1. The pulling force applied to the hook 62 is transmitted to the free end of lever 30L through the bent guide tube 52 and rotates the lever 30R around the pin 31R clockwise and, further, presses those parts of linings 23L, 23R which are situated nearer the wheel cylinder 5 against the brake drum 1 with the aid of a strut 42.
