TESTING METHOD FOR TEMPERATURE RISE OF TRANSFORMER

PURPOSE:To ensure a precise test by eliminating the need for correcting calculation, by constituting to feed a rated current to primary and secondary main windings and teaser windings for a test of the temperature rise of a Scott-connection transformer. CONSTITUTION:Three Scott-connection transformer 5, 8 and 9 are used and one out of three transformers is used as copper loss supply power source 6 to supply 90 deg. out-of-phase currents to the main winding and teaser winding. Namely, iron loss supply power source 7 applies a three-phase rated voltage and frequency among terminals A, B and C at the primary side to excite two transformers 8 and 9 to be tested. Next, copper loss supply power source 6 applies three-phase electric power from the primary side of auxiliary transformer 5 and supplies 90 deg. out-of-phase currents from the secondary side to the secondary-side main winding and teaser windings of the transformers to be tested. As for those main phase windings, the rated current flow between the transformers to be tested and auxiliary transformer 5, or terminals in the teaser winding closed circuit. Thus, rated current is fed to all windings, so that the precise test is ensured.
