PURPOSE:To manufacture sintered ore with little change in the basicity value by estimating the basicity of sintered ore from the estimated values of the component contents of the ore and feeding CaO and SiO2 sources within predetermined ranges while controlling so as to attain the estimated basicity value. The calculated values are sent to basicity controller 4, and the radio of CaO content/SiO2 content among the estimated component contents is calculated and used as the estimated value of the basicity of sintered ore. The desired basicity received from the 2nd setter 22 is compared with the estimated basicity, and this value is sent to starting material feed controller 7 so as to attain the desired basicity. Controller 7 regulates the amount of starting material fed with each of constant feeder 51-5n in accordance with the signal from controller 4.
