PURPOSE:To investigate behavior of converter molten slag more accurately, by reproducing the movement of slag in forming as the state close to a actual furnace, through the use of water solution of polyethylene oxide and soap. CONSTITUTION:The behavior of molten slat in a model converter 1 can be investigated by pouring a virtual fluid 3 and flowing the fluid 3 with air blow from the lance 2. In this case, the water solution with soap and polyethylene oxide is poured into the converter 1 as virtual fluid 3 to reproduce the forming phenomenon in the furnace of molten slag based on air blow from the lance 2, allowing to accurate behavior investigation.
