LINE REVISION TRANSIT CHECK SYSTEM FOR PRINTING PAPER

PURPOSE:To measure a transit amount of a printing paper directly and to detect a trouble occurring during line shift and transit, by a method wherein, in a printer in a data processor, the number of feed wheels, passing through a given portion of the device during a given period of time, are counted. CONSTITUTION:When a printing paper line shift transit mechanism 30 is driven, a drive amount thereof is converted to a line pulse 32 which is output each time a lines is revised, and the line pulse is input to a drive amount measurement counter 31. When a line pulse 32 is generated thereupon, the count 31 is counted up by only one. Meanwhile, a print paper 10 has field wheels 11 at intervals of 1/2 inch, and is transferred by 1/6 inch each time one line is shifted. Thereby the wheel 11 passes through between a light source lamp 21 and a light receiving element 21 once each time three lines are shifted, and said condition is counted as a feed wheel count pulse 23 into a counter 22. Normal condition of transit is checked by comparing the contents of the counters 22 and 31 each other.
