PURPOSE:To prepare the titled produce having antiulcer activity, easily, in an industrial scale, by reacting a sucrose sulfate alkali metal salt with active aluminum hydroxide, etc. in hydrochloric acid solution, and further reacting the reaction intermediate thus obtained with active aluminum hydroxide. CONSTITUTION:An alkali metal salt of a sucrose sulfate is made to react with an active aluminum hydroxide and active dihydroxyaluminum allantoinate in a hydrochloric acid solution, and the resulting water-soluble adduct of sucrose sulfate. dihydroxyaluminum allantoinate and aluminum is further reacted with active aluminum hydroxide to obtain the titled compound of formula (R is group of formula -SO3H; m is 1-3; n is 7-12). The reaction is pref. carred out in 5-15% hydrochloric acid solution, and the amount of aluminum hydroxide is equimolar or slightly excess to that of the sucrose sulfate alkali salt. The reaction is accelerated by heating, and the intermediate can be obtained in a short time at about 60-80 deg.C.
