Disclosed is an amine oxide foam stabilizer for stabilizing a foam of an alkyl benzene sulfonate foaming agent, wherein said amine oxide foam stabilizer is represented by the following general structure: IMAGE (I) where, R1 is a C4-C11 alkyl group R2 is a C2-C4 alkylene group R3, R4 each, independently, is a C1-C4 hydroxyalkyl group.
