We Claim: 1. A process for recovering lead and silver contained in residues from the electrolytic preparation of zinc from zinc and/or complex concentrates, characterised in that it com- prises leaching the residues with an acidified solution of chlorides, preferably in the presence of substances which favour the oxidation of sulphides of the metals present in the residues such as copper chloride, at a temperature between ambient temperature and boiling point of the solution in one or more stages, the lead and the silver present there, being obtained in the form of insoluble salts.
