A rubbery copolymer of ethylene, =1 other alpha-alkylene (e.g. propylene and/or butene-1) and opt. =1 polyene(s) (e.g. dicyclopentadiene and/or 5-ethylidene norbornene-2) is characterised by a thermogram recorded by differential scanning calorimetry at a cooling rate of 8 degrees C/min. into which the heat of crystallisation is entered as a function of temp. and which has a peak indicating a maximum at between -7 and +11 degrees C. Used in compsns. contg. a tackifier e.g. an alkylated phenolic resin, and which have good self-adhesion.
