The machine washes flexible printing blocks with fluid, having a drum turning and sliding in bearings in a frame and with clamps for the block. Cylindrical rotary brushes extend parallel to the drum, a drive being provided for both, together with means for moving them together and apart. More than two brushes (6), pref. four or six, are provided, and the drum (20) is so mounted in the bearings that it cannot move in the radial direction in relation to the frame. The brushes are moved to and from the drum by a drive mechanism acting between them and the frame.
