Milk-meter with measuring cups - each having electrode connected to counter and with float compensating for air received in milk

The milkmeter has a measuring part (1) in which there are measuring cups (4) each having an electrode (13) at its bottom (12), the cups being arranged in three series each of three cups (7,8,9). A milk supply chute (10) is pivotable around a transverse axis (11) to supply milk to the cup on the right of the first series (7), or if the chute is pivoted about its axis to the cup on the left of the third series (9). The cups have common adjacent walls of which the upper edge is lower than the other walls of the cup, allowing milk to overflow from one cup to the next to fill the cups of the first two series (7,8). As soon as milk reaches the electrode in the cup bottom a signal is sent to a counter. Once a signal is received from the right most cup of the third series (9), a further signal is sent to pivot the chute about its axis. Simultaneously the cups of the first and second series are tilted to pour milk from them down the spout (3).. The meter is accurate and compensates for air received in milk. In addition, if only one cup is used in each series a compact meter os achieved.
