1503629 Plastering float ARTWEGER - INDUSTRIE - GmbH 23 July 1976 [25 July 1975] 30904/76 Heading E1S A plastering float of the kind consisting of a flat rectangular base plate 1 and a handle 2 with at least the base plate 1 being composed of an expanded plastics material with a closed cellular structure, wherein the edges of the base plate 3 and its upper face 10 all have a rough surface and a hardness similar to that of its interior. The edges of the base plate have five vertical grooves or are cross-hitched, and the upper surface has channels 8 which become wider and deeper as they approach the longitudinal edges to which they extend perpendicularly. Five grooves 9 may also be provided in the upper surface extending perpendicularly to the longitudinal edges. The shorter edges 4' are milled off to give the rectangular form and to reveal opened cells. The grooves retain water on the upper surface of the float preventing spraying and direct it towards the longitudinal edges.
