摘要

The radiopaque substance is 3,6,9-trioxaundecane-1,11-diolyl bis(3-carboxy-2,4,6-triiodoanilide) or its salts with physiologically tolerated bases. The X-ray contrast medium is prepared by reacting 3-amino-2,4,6-triiodobenzoic acid with a reactive derivative of 3,6,9-trioxaundecane-1,11-dioic acid and converting the reaction product where appropriate with salt formation, into a form suitable for intravenous administration. The medium can be used in particular for radiological diagnosis of seriously injured patients with impaired liver function.
