The display container preferably for tableware, china, glass or ornaments, can be altered in form and consists of a combination of a cabinet (1) made up of four supports (2) holding up the roof. The outer walls (7) are flexible, and shelving (8) can be mounted in varying ways. The shelving comprises a base plate with an upturned rim all round; double, movable insertion base plates; and U-shaped walls held together by brackets which plug in. The brackets consist of luminous tubes and empty tubes assembled by crosspieces. In the centre of the cabinet (1) is a light cone (4), with side lamps (5), which illuminate the displayed articles.
