摘要
Acetylenes are removed from satd. olefinic or dienic hydrocarbons or mixts. thereof by (a) reacting the acetylenes with ROH (R = alkyl. aryl, cycloalkyl or acyl) in the presence of an acid ion-exchange resin contg. Hg2+ ions; and (b) separating the products in known manner. The process is esp. useful for purifying butadiene, propylene and ethylene for use in polymerisation processes. Purified products contg. =10 ppm of acetylenes can be obtained. In step (a), the acetylenes are pref. etherified with an alcohol or glycol at -20 to +80 degrees (esp. 20-60 degrees C). The ion-exchange resin is pref. a sulphonate resin based on poly styrene, divinylbenzene or a phenolic resin, or can also be carboxylic acid resin. The Hg2+ ions are pref. introduced in the form of Hg(NO3)2 or Hg (OAc)2. The ethers formed are pref. removed by distn.
