Welding electrode, for fusion welding of metals in a protective gas atmos., consists of a Ti or Ti alloy sheath filled with flux powder contg. (by wt.) 25-52% CaF2, 45-60% MgF2 and 3-15% SrF2. Pref. wt. ratio flux: metal sheath = 1-1.3.
