Abstract of the DisclosureDisclosed are compounds of the formulauseful in reducing the intra-ocular pressure inmammalian patients wherein R is a straight or branchedchain alkanoyl group having from 2-8 carbon atoms orwith Y being a straight or branched chain alkylene grouphaving from 1-8 carbon atoms; a is an integer from 1-4;b is an integer from 1-4; X is CH2, O, S, or NR1 with R1being hydrogen or lower alkyl with the limitation thatwhen X is O, S, or NR1, the sum of a and b is 3 or 4, andpharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof.
