SUPERVISORY AND CONTROL SYSTEM FOR ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT

ABSTRACTA system for use in supervising and controlling tem-perature and other environmental conditioning equipment of abuilding or the like is disclosed. The system monitors andcontrols various types of sensors and control equipment locatedat remote field points. The system includes a control consoleand a number of field located multiplexing modules which areconnected to various remote field points. Each of the multi-plexing modules is connected to associated field points thatare connected to each other and to the multiplexing module in asingle leg circuit. The multiplexing modules and control con-sole are also connected together. The multiplexing modulessimultaneously and independently with the control console for anpoints and only communicate with the control console for analarm special or changed condition. The field points includecommon field point modules which interface with any of variousfield point units which comprises sensors or control field pointapparatus. The field point moudles provide identificationsignals as well as values measured by the field point units tothe multiplexing modules upon command.
