ABSTRACTA fabric bleaching composition is providedwhich consists essentially of water and a bleachselected from the group consisting of disodium chloro-imidodisulfate, dipotassium chloroimidodisulfate andmixtures thereof. The fabric bleaching composition canalso contain a detergent, a buffering agent and otheringredients in a detergent formulation. The fabricbleaching composition is intermediate in strengthbetween peroxide-type fabric bleaches and alkali metalhypochlorite fabric bleaches.
