TEMPPRATURE REGULATOR FOR ELECTRIC HEATING DEVICES, PARTICULARLY FOR ELECTRIC HOTPLATES

A temperature regulator for an electric hot-plate (50) comprises an expansion capsule (42) which is connected to a temperature sensor (49) associated with the electric hot- plate (50), and an expansion chamber (61) which is electrically heated as a function of the energy supplied to the electric hot-plate (50). The expansion chamber (61) and the expansion capsule (42) actuate a snap switch (32) which regulates a heating coil (63) for heating the expansion chamber (61). The switch (32) is so controlled by the expansion capsule (42) that the heating coil (63) of the expansion chamber (61) is only switched-on above a temperature which is near the preset temperature to be maintained.
