500 to 10 000 parts per million of Fischer-Tropsch wax having a congealing point of 86 to 110 degrees centigrade are incorporated during the suspension polymerization of styrene in the presence of a blowing agent to yield expandable polystyrene beads with a stabilised cell structure.
