Compounds of the general formula I IMAGE in which R0 represents the groups IMAGE in which R1, R2 and R3 represent hydrogen, methyl or ethyl groups and the dashed lines denote an optional double bond and the wavy lines denote stereoisomeric forms, or IMAGE in which R denotes a carbonyl oxygen or a hydroxyl group and geminal hydrogen, the dashed line denotes an optional double bond and the wavy lines denote stereoisomeric forms, and their production in a manner known per se starting from campholenaldehyde and their use as odorants or constituent of odorant compositions.
