Single-stage process for recovering dimethyl carbonate

The technical problem of physical separation of the azeotrope of dimethyl carbonate and methanol in a single stage is solved by subjecting the azeotrope to a distillation under pressure such as, for example, a pressure of 10 atmospheres, maintaining the column top at a temperature of 142 DEG C and the bottom of the said column at a temperature of 150 DEG C.
