Pipeline safety device for pipelines arranged in particular in nuclear power stations

To avoid damage to structural members which run in the vicinity of pipelines, the same are surrounded by pipeline safety devices anchored in concrete walls (3, 4). So that the enormous forces are not passed directly into the concrete walls when the pipeline safety devices respond, the safety devices consist of individual plastically deformable girders (6, 7, 8, 9) subject to bending. The girders subject to bending are connected to the concrete walls with bearings (5, 5a) in between. The gap between insulation (2) and girders subject to bending is kept as small as possible in order to keep down the kinetic energy from pipe-fracture parts in the event of any pipe fracture. IMAGE
