The plant comprises a vessel (2) fitted with a support deck on which the wastes are spread out in a thin layer. A reel (15) with rotary motion about its own axis and translatory motion along the abovementioned deck mixes or turns over the wastes towards the discharge port (14). The plant also comprises a charging hopper (16), a discharge port (14) which is followed by a roller (6) feeding a vacuum decantation chamber (8). The heavy materials drop onto a conveyor belt (11) underneath the said roller (6). The fact that the wastes are arranged in a thin layer, mixed and displaced towards the discharge port by the vanes of the reel speeds up the fermentation process of the wastes. IMAGE
