A miniaturised lens matrix is for recording of, e.g. point holograms. The lens structure provides a high resolution and large aperture and a high resolution and large aperture and a high packing density with the smallest possible central aberations. The matrix consists of optically transparent structures of equal size regularly ordered in at least one plane. They are positioned by a rigid support board. The latter (1) consists of an optically transparent material in one side of which concave depressions representing lens structures are stamped in. These depressions (4) can be like calottes filled with an optical medium (6) whose refractive index is greater or less than that of the support (1).
