The carrier strip (1) is intended for holding door hinges (5) for fitting in pieces of furniture. Each hinge has a housing for insertion in a bore of a door and a hinge arm (4), and the strip places the hinges in a C-section channel of a hinge fitting machine. The strip is provided with cut-outs (2) to receive the arms and retaining tongues (3) project at an angle to the centre of each cut-out to form a funnel-shaped opening. The strip moves so that the hinge housings enter at one end of the channel and the projecting arms are pulled out of the openings. (DS).
