The contact assembly has an axially displaceable switching pin, and two parallel, spaced surfaces on opposite sides of the pin. One end of each surface is rigidly and conductively connected to stationary parts of the circuit breaker, while the other free ends point in the pin ON direction. Between these surfaces and the pin are guided roller contacts in a spacer, rolling over the pin and the surfaces, on axial displacement of the pin. The three roller contacts (3) are radially guided in the spacer (7) relative to the switching pin. One roller contact is fitted opposite the other two and mounted in a middle plane between the switching pin (1) and one surface (2). The surface free ends are prestressed by tensile spring (4) in the direction towards the switching pin. In the OFF position they abut an insulating plate (11) with a bore for guiding the switching pin.(DS).
