1464794 Actinide globules [INTERFUEL BV 8 May 1974 [9 May 1973] 20342/74 Heading C1A Globules containing an actinide metal or metals are prepared by converting an actinide salt solution by a sol-gel process into globules, wherein the solution is obtained by partially neutralizing an aqueous solution containing one or more salts of actinide metals which produce an acid reaction when dissolved with one or more of the neutralizing bases ammonia, an ammonia-producing material and an alkali metal hydroxide, preferably corresponding to 10-75% of the acid radical ions contained in the starting solution.
