The sales display frame is provided with the normal support arms (7) for supporting the sheet metal shelves (11) provided on the underneath with reinforcement section bars (15) fastened by spot welding and at their ends engage in suitable recesses (19) in the supporting edge of the support arms (7) to rest on the support arms together with the shelves. So that the support arms are not unduly weakened by the recesses the end parts (18) of the reinforcement bars (15) which engage in the support arms (7) adjoin the sheet metal shelf and the height of the end part is reduced to only a fraction of the overall height of the reinforcement bar. The reinforcement bars are thus supported at both ends so that no undue stress is applied to the actual spot welded points. Furthermore the engagement of the bars in the recesses prevents the shelves from being displaced, without the need for extra stops etc.
