The hose coupling is particularly for high- and very high-pressure hoses, having a socket into which a plug screws, and a sleeve enclosing socket and plug and in which the plug is locked by a dog-clutch mechanism. A spring-loaded abutment sleeve slides in the socket and bears against the plug end face, being thrust back during the coupling operation. The plug has in its end face towards the abutment sleeve a seat in which a sealing disc is embedded, supported by a spring loaded flow sleeve (8) with ports inside the plug. On the opposite side of the sealing disc the abutment sleeve works on a tappet coaxial to the flow sleeve and with flow ports and an actuator head for the disc. It bears via a sealing washer against the plug edge round the disc.
