The film cutter for cine splicing has pegs (9) on which the film ends are clipped, on adjustable plates, while the pivoted cutting blade (4) has adjustable hinges. The cutter can be precisely adjusted to cut between frames, even in films with narrow gaps between frames. The peg adjustment has screws (16) on each side of the splicer to adjust at right angles to the film cut, while the cutter pivot secures to slots in the same direction for lat-adjustment. Once the splicer is set for the particular film the adjustment is locked.
