The temp. sensor ascertains the temp. of a fluid flow by taking a measurement across it. The fluid can be exhaust gases of a boiler, fluid of a heat exchanger, e.g. helium circuit of a high temp reactor. The temp-sensitive element is divided into flat sections so that the complete cross-sectional temp. is ascertained. It can be formed within a gas or liq-cooled tube to withstand corrosion. The tube (1) can be formed as a spiral. The tube can have an oval-shaped cross-section. A narrowed turn of the spiral can evenly distribute, i.e. equalise the flow. The sensor surface areas can be made to correspond to the speed of flow in the distributed sections. The retainer for the temp.-sensitive element (1) can be in the form of a semi-circular enclosure (4) for a corresponding semi-circular slit (3) of the tube line (2). The enclosure can be completed by a hinged (5) half-ring with a spring lock (6) or a corresponding bolt spring.
