The gnathological articulator has a bottom portion comprising a footplate with an upright support at its rear edge, on which two balls are fixed at a distance apart corresponding to the condylar distance of the average human lower jaw. Its upper portion has a head plate with two condylar housings spaced apart for the same distance and hinging and lockable on an axis passing through their centres. The condylar housings are mounted in brackets fixed to the headplate, and each of which has a pivot bearing surface concentric to the horizontal axis. These surfaces can be brought into engagement with second bearing surfaces adjustable radially in relation to them on the support of the bottom portion in a plane passing through the terminal hinge axis.
