The ski has a slot or hole to facilitate hanging storage. The transverse or longitudinal slots or holes in the ski are either at the top shortly before the start of the upward curvature at the point of the ski or shortly before the bottom end. The slots or holes permit the suspension of the ski on already known ski hooks which increase storage capacity. The ski may have holes or slots both at the top and the bottom so that it can be selectively stored with the point facing either up or down. The slots may be placed in such a way that they cover each other when a pair of skis is placed one over the other permitting storage of skis in pairs. This method also allows the attachment of anti-theft locks.
