The assembly process is for a ballcock, whose spherical plug has a through drilling and is turned in the housing by a spindle, floating between two sealing rings. The two sealing rings are in turn clamped between the housing and the connecting unions. One or both the unions with rings and plug are first mounted on a centring mandrel. The housing is then placed on the plug and the spindle is inserted. The union is then secured to the housing, the ring being plastically distorted. The rings are of material with characteristics.
