Rotating wedge refuse comminutor - uses intermeshing screw form cutters on parallel shafts

This refuse comminution machine consists of two parallel rotating shafts (13,14) with screw-form cutters on their circumferences (16,17). These cutters have a number of teeth fitted along their length (18) so that the crest of one cutter meshes in the tr other. The comminutor is mounted directly under a hopper (21) and discharges directly to a bin.
