Wood fibre-board esp. hard board, contains up to 50 (pref. 10-15) wt.%, w.r.t. total compsn., of low pressure propylene polymer or polypropylene binder fibres interposed as binder between the wood fibres. Binder fibre use yields a board having good dimensional stability combined with tenacity and resistance to cracking. The board can be worked without steaming, by heating the equipment to 150-210 deg.C.
