Chamfer plane for veneer or synthetic edges - has angled contact surfaces, with cutting edge at angle to one surface

The chamfer plane removes the projecting edges of a veneer/synthetic edging strip. It consists of a holder, with angled contact surfaces and a blade. The blade is positioned on one contact surface, and its cutting edge cuts across the plane of the other surface (3). A groove or recess to accommodate the projecting edges to be cut, is positioned in front of the blade edge, near the crossing line of the two surfaces. The holder has a circular aperture, with a tangential chip guide extending away from the blade. The cutting edge of the blade is positioned at such an angle to the crossing line, that in direction of advance, a force component of the blade extends towards the edge to be cut.
