Machine includes a row of core boxes which travel successively underneath a press which fills each box with a liq. moulding material obtd. from a mixer and heater. The boxes then travel to a station on the machine where each boxis opened and the core is ejected. Each core box consists of an upper half and a lower half, which are automatically clamped together underneath the press. Clamping is achieved via two horizontal rods located in lower box half; and bars mounted on upper half end in semicircular slots fitting over rods. Accurate alignment of the two box halves during pressing.
