The blade shaft has pocket-like recesses, each to accommodate one chipping blade. The blade engages with its chip guide surface on a blade holder, which is loaded by a wedge-shaped centrifugal section. The section is loaded by a compression spring. The rear of the blade is supported on a wear section, which forms the blade head side piece. A wear plate (2) is located behind the wear section (3), and is connected to it via a screw (5). When tightened, the screw draws the wear plate towards the blade shaft (1). The plate engages in a recess (12) of the section, on a surface, the plane of which cuts across the axis of the screw to a point within the blade shaft.
