The transmitting device for a doppler pulse radar system includes a constant frequency controller with a converter (U) with a switch (S1) in the secondary circuit of a transformer in series with a rectifier (G1). The primary of the coil is connected to an a.c. supply, and the circuit is completed by a further transformer coupling it to the load (L). The circuit which includes the load also contains a switch (S2) controlled by a synchroniser (SS) also connected to the controller for the first switch so that the supply switching pulses are phase synchronised with the load pulses, but the variable flanks of the supply pulses do not occur during the period of the load pulses. The two switching frequencies can be the same or multiples of each other.
