Air cooled laboratory cooler - with siphon closure trap and extractable condensing tube bank

Cooler for use in distn. and reflux boiling operations in laboratories is air cooled. Condensing tubes are enclosed in a cowl, and fans blow large quantities of air through the cowl. Tubes are joined to each other at the bottom in siphon fashion so that only liq. and not gas can escape. Upper joints between the tubes are detachable to facilitate cleaning or the entire tube bank can be extracted for cleaning. This saves the water consumption and the extra load on the drainage system, compared with water cooling.
