Foamed cement continuous prodn. for insulating bricks or plaster - by spraying dry mix with water and beating in hermetically sealed mixer

Prodn. of building stones, walls and insulating plaster involves continuous dosing of cement dry material, consisting of min. 50 vol.% cement and max. 50 vol.% additives, into a hermetically sealed mixer and spraying with water, beating the mix to a foam and discharging, pref. on the opposite side of the mixer, as foamed cement with an air pore content of 50-70% after 30-60 secs. It is then cast in moulds or applied, e.g. to the outside walls of houses. The prods. can be made at low cost and have adequate strength and good acoustic and thermal insulating properties. In an example, a mixt. of 96.7% cement, 0.8% methylcellulose and 2.5% air pore former was sprayed with water in a hermetically sealed mixer and beaten for 40 secs. The foamed cement obtd. was cast in moulds to produce cheap bricks with high acoustic and thermal insulating properties.
