Facade cladding roller shutter - is pulled up to be housed behind cladding, without shutter case

No shutter case, normally severely restricting the amount of light entering a window, is needed for the roller shutter to be built in behind a cladding or cover on an external wall face. When drawn up, the blind is accommodated behind the cladding. It is raised by drawing up, not by rolling up. It is pref. activated by means of two interconnected cord strips (1), via guide rollers (3) attached overhead, and a pulley (2). Two battens, twice as long as window height, may be fitted with U-rails, and fixed vertically to the soffit edge.
