The dish washing machine is connected to a tap (1) by a flexible hose (4) at both ends of which are electromagnetic valves (6,7). From the valve (7) in the washing machine, a water feed system (8) leads to the water container (9) of the machine, both valves being open when current is flowing but the machine valve opening and closing in conjunction with a level detector and the programme steps set by the programme controller (10). Should the water hose couplings become loose or the hose burst, a sensor (11) after the valve (7) in the machine sends impulses to a control (12) which will cut off the flow. Another sensor (13) is built into the water feed input at the base of the wash water container (9) so that the hose feed system is monitored by both sensors, the control (12) also opening or closing the valve (6) at the feed tap as required.
