Solar energy utilisation - by photosynthetic plant growth for food and biomass based energy generation

Solar energy is utilised by converting it through photosynthesis into organic plant matter. The prim. yield of the plant substance is partly used as food for man and cattle and partly mixed with the sec. yield in the shape of human and animal excreta. The mixt. is converted to methane or ethyl alcohol by an anaerobic fermentation of the mesophilic or thermophilic type. The digested sludge produced is dried, granulated and applied as nitrogenous fertiliser to the fields to close the biological cycle. This saves other types of not reclaimable energy (coal, oil) and replaces them by inexhaustible supplies of solar energy.
