The pulverised-coal firing equipment is particularly for a pottery kiln, having one or more burners (2) supplied with air. Each burner has a grinding mechanism (8) connected between it and a coal hopper (7), and whose working speed can be adjustable dependent on the kiln temperature. The air supply rate can be adjustable independently of the grinder speed, and there can be a mixing chamber (24) following the grinder, supplied with air and pulverised coal.
