A series of drill spindles are swivelled between two end positions, vertical and parallel to a workpiece support surface on a frame, and are sited perpendicular to the drill-head carrier swivel axis. They are used on a machine, esp. for wood working, for inserting end dowel holes and flat-side rows of holes in panel-shaped workpieces, such as parts of cupboards. The workpiece stop, in front of the spindles, is movable automatically into the stop position when the carrier.
